Car Seat Safety Inspections
The Manchester Police Department will be providing hands-on car seat safety inspections and education with your car seat in your own car! Police officers inspecting car seats are nationally certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians and will walk through safety tips with you and do a full safety inspection of your car seat(s). You'll be able to drive your car right into an inspection bay and will leave with more knowledge of car seat safety as well as the assurance of a safe car seat for your child. Your child should be with you for the check to ensure proper safety inspection.
Should your car seat fail its safety check, the Manchester Police Department will have a number of car seats available to replace yours at no cost to you.
Car Seat Safety Inspections are available every 30 minutes from 9:00am-2:00pm and will last about 30 minutes. If you have more than one child still in a car seat, you only need one time slot as time slots are per car/family.
To register for your Car Seat Safety Inspection:
- Register for the Car Seat Safety & Resource Fair here
- Choose a General Registration ticket first (one registration per family)
- Below the General Registration, choose a Car Seat Safety Inspection time slot
- Then click Register and fill out your information to confirm
*Registrations are required for Car Seat Safety Inspections.
